I Replaced The Stock Steel Reeds. Actually Iīm Using A Set Of Boyesen. I Would Like To Test A Single Petal Ones.

I Asked Ccms ( Chris Carlson Marine ) For A Set Of Epoxy Ones But Still Not Available Yet . Any Other Option ???

I dont know of other options, Are you unhappy with the Boyesens? They are the 2 stage type? Are they not faster at all or not as fast as you would like,,, cause I know ya wanna go

DO YOU KNOW WHATīS THE MEASURE OF THE STOP REEDS PETALS ON THAT ENGINE ( 0MC 25 HP, 1999 ) . WHATīS HAPPENING IF I BEND THAT STOPS ABOUT 1MM, TO BE OPEN THE REEDS A LITTLE MORE ? WOULD I INCREASE THE VOLUMEN OF AIR/GAS ?

The book, the dealer techs etc. say NO, NEVER, "read & believe" so, what do I do.. bend em You have to be careful not to bend them in close where the reed petal thins. I broke one on an engine that was running best ever of any Ive had for about 45min. Then It broke one & I had to tear it down & buy a new piston. If you bend them at all, only at the outer part of the curve [& your on your own].. Ive got 2 motors with them bent about 1mm but dont think its doing much, it also depends on how far open the piston will draw them. So to close Id say dont mess with the metal ones, the comp type wont destroy a piston supposedly.. the metal one I broke got between the piston & the cyl. Amazingly it hardly touched the bore but messed up the ring groove & stuck the top ring.
Oh,, you didnt tell whether its faster at top end with the Boyesens ???

Are they making them, epoxy in general or special order? Id also be interested. Boyesens are kinda pricey.
