3 cyl omc honing

i need to hone one of my engines. what hone can i use? anyone know.

How Much

How much do you feel you need to hone ? If the bore has just been punched out and your pistons are fit to the bore, and you simply need to set up clearence to your preference a Sunnen hone works well. You can cross hatch with a dingleberry hone.

If you are trying to clean up an out of round cyl. use the Sunnen hone. It is pretty accurate when set up right. If you need to take out a lot I suggest letting a pro bore and cross hatch. Most places are still only getting $30.00 a hole to bore out the OMC 3 Cyls around here. Not a blind hole, so it is easy. Merc's are a different story.
