In the 09 rule book it sais the Y302 gearfoot is acceptable for use on the Y80 in 350 mh ("B" mod hydro) which by default makes the 14/15 gear ratio ok to use. So I guess my question is this, with Y80 gears kind of hard to find is it ok to put 14/15 gears in an 80 gearfoot? I'm sure some will jump right up and say "NO". but what I would have is a legal gearfoot housing and a legal gear ratio...

It's been a LONG LONG time
It has been a long time since I played with a stock Model 80 lower unit, but I always understood the gear ratio was 14-16. Right or wrong someone??

The stock Y-80 is 14:16 and the 102/302 are 14:15Comment
