  • Yamato foot dimension checking

Exactly where do inspectors measure the foot "W" dimension on the Y80, 102 and 302to meet the spec. minimum? In the manual it appears to be at the centerline of the driveshaft is that correct? Is it only a one location measurement?

For anyone interested per Tom Cronk it is measured only at one location the driveshaft centerline.

Yes the fin thickness is also measured at 4 points. In my original post I was only inquireing about the bullet minimum dimension and where it was measured. But of course there are other places on the foot that are measured like the fin thickness. Refer to the Stock Outboard Inspectors Manual as posted on APBA site for the dimension values and locations.
