Oil for the Yamoto 102

Does anybody run MOTOREX RACING GP 2T in there 102?? I Went out to find REDLINE but nobody carries it in Evansville, the tech person at the Kawasaki/Seadoo shop said this is really good oil. Has anyone used this product?
What is the best oil for the gear foot??

So what is your criteria for best? More power? Less wear? Less carbon build up? Keeping seals soft and pliable? And who do you think has evaluated all the available outboard and other two cycle oils according to your criteria?

And if there was such a thing as "best" oil, don't you think that everyone would be using it?

I want to replace oil in the gear foot What do I replace it with 5w 30 or something else? regular or synthetic oil?

Has anyone used MOTOREX RACING GP 2T oil? (Oil of Switzerland) the service tech said to run 40:1 or 32:1.
I don't want to do any damage to my 102, or have it affect the gas meter. My other choice of oil was Quicksilver Synthetic.

back in the day . . .

of 2-stroke dirt bikes a group of motorcycle journalists did extensive research on oil and rated various brands RE horsepower produced. There was quite a difference between worst and best, something like 25% HP increase. But dirt bike riders did not have to pass a fuel test. We do. So whatever oil you use must ding a smiley face on the fuel meter.

Lower unit. I used ATF, never wore out a set of gears. YMMV

Gear oil is easy. I use Schaeffer's #267 Moly synthetic geal lube 80W-90. But then it's like the line about what is the best beer with the answer being free beer of course. My Schaeffer distributor is a great guy and gives me as much as we need. So there is no doubt about the best gear oil for me.

But both automotive gear lube and ATF don't have much in the way of rust inhibitors compared to normal outboard lubes.

We also did some fuel and oil testing some time ago. I made a simple fuel dyno that used a leaf blower modified with an external fuel line so I could switch fuel containers while the motor was still running. The carb had an adjustable high speed needle so I could adjust for each fuel mixture we tested. My criteria for best in this test was simply the highest RPM. We learned a lot but never came close to testing EVERY oil available. I'd never say that the oil we ended up with is the best but its better than anything else we tested. In the leaf blower. The boat motors seem to like it. But best? I don't know.
