The last post I made on this topic showed the similarities between the 4-6HP OMC plastic bell crank, and the A Stock race race motor plastic bell crank. The only real difference was that the A stock was squared on both ends, and had a hole for the linkage. Price wise, the A Bell crank vs the 4-6HP was several bucks higher.
Now, another find....I had a 1986 15HP Rude apart the other day...Specifically, the water pump. The only difference I really saw between the A stock race water pump and the factory stock, was the splines for the a stock and a needle bearing with a flat on the factory stock pump. Now, all I need to do is find splines and the mystery is solved!....
