This can't be for Mod Formula E as the 2004 Mod Tech Manual specifically limits this engine to 3 carbs. So, I also am curious as to what class this is for.
Would be legal in APBA 1100 Runabout I believe, but even then.......... Getting that much fuel/air into the cylinder would require, wow, and then to burn it all....efficiently, makes my head hurt. I know you're out there Mr. Benson, wadda-U-think? Welcome to the North West by the way.
I tried to go after the "carb list" last winter, with no luck. Not sure you can even tell without having microfiche or something similar to track block s/n's to a year, and then to carbs that were available that model year. Doubt this is done, but then I'm probably not reading it right either.
Modification rule #5 also says "no additional reed ports or carburetors are permitted..." so there is no way this is a legal APBA FE motor. AOF or NBRA?
Guess we'll have to wait foe the East coast to wake up to get the real scoop.
The way I understand it you must use "service" carburators. "service"meaning carbs originaly manufactured for that engine. there are many different "service" carbs for the omc 49ci. but the one's on that motor are definetly NOT!!!. "service' carb's. Jeff Akers...
