Point and Plug Gap
I use NGK B9ES plugs gapped at .025. You may want to check the breaker points also. They should be gapped at .012. The timing should be at 220 thousandths before Top-Dead-Center. Use a dial indicator to determine the rotation and a timing light or buzz box to determine when the points open. I set the top cylinder first by gapping then do the timing. Tighten the mag plate and check again. They sometimes move when tightened. Then do the bottom cylinder. I adjust the timing on the bottom cyl. by adjusting the point gap. The idea here is to have the cylinders firing exactly opposite one another

I use to run 10C, Frank Banducci's boat. Bought Ken Mallot's old boat. Will be in Oroville early Friday. Slowly getting the engine in line. Will appreciate any help. Having fun, hope to be in a long time.Hydroman 14-C
