legal foot repair ?

I have a 25xs with abroken skeg and have welded it once and it broke again if I made a skeg from carbon fiber epoxyed it on and covered the whole nuit with carbon after that besides looking cool would it be a legal repair for 25xs class. thanks mike

Did you

anneal it after welding? I doubt carbon will hold up on a skeg regardless of legality. I could be wrong though.

I don't think I'd try to glue skeg back on...

They can be welded successfully. There used to be a guy in Conroe, TX that stayed pretty busy welding long skegs on 25SS and other short skeg lower units.
