i know its not race parts . but.. does someone have an omc 9.9/15 tiller handle? the one with a gear on the end that meshes with a gear on the shaft thru the cowl? thanks in advance
on anouther subject does anyone know if either evinrude or johnson built a 4 cyl. outboard that was less than 10 hp? (ww2 era) built for the armed forces? and what hp were the speedytwins made in?

4 cyl outboard less than 10hp was the Evinrude Zephyr
    Evinrude Speeditwin was 22hp

          Eviinrude

          Kevin,
Evinrude also made a Lightfour, just over 9 hp.
There may have been a Military version of that.
Lightfours were raced some in the early days of Stock Outboard.

I have 1 off of a 1975 Evinrude, $30.00 plus shipping. Arm and shaft/gear in good condition, grip is faded and has a worn spot.

              Old Evinrudes

              Evinrude Zephyr was 5.4 hp
Evinrude Lightfours- Imperials 9.2 (mid 30's) 9.7 hp in the 40's
As Cooper stated they were the first A engines.
Speeditwin- 22.5 hp- Early ones were coverted for hop up in C Service. Still raced in Pro today.
Zephyrs are now being used at antique outboard meets both as stock and mods. Amazing what some of the mods will run when done right. Constantine,MI AOMC meet should be interesting this year.

All of these engines were WW II work horses.
