  • Merc A-B Driveshaft Needed

I recently bought a 16:21 foot with a short coupler driveshaft, and need to convert it back with a standard 20-H length driveshaft. Any leads on a driveshaft would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

look on ebay under "mercury outboard racing" on the bigger, more generalized shopping list "mercury outboard". Saw some there yesterday. Good luck. Mike Marshall, Raceboat61-S

Do you want to part with the 2-piece shaft?

You could just get a driveshaft for a mark 15, 20, 25, or 30, or maybe even a green top motor, and have it cut to fit your coupler. The beauty about that is that you can switch it to a motor with a different length driveshaft pretty easily.

Thanks for the leads on a shaft

I thought about trying to couple to the short shaft, but it only stands about 1.5" above the top of the foot and there does not seem to be enough clearance radially to fit a coupler within the confines of the tower at that location.
