Not to put too fine a point on it, but there is no such thing... no KC was ever made OEM with an adjustable jet. You can use the needle seat from a KA7 or make your own from a fixed jet. Original OEM size is .084". Find a friend with a small lathe, machine up a piece of round stock as a fixture, center drilling a hole in the end and threading it 8-32. Put a countersink edge on the hole. Chuck this in the lathe, screw in a jet that's smaller ID, then use the tailstock chuck to machine in the taper, using a dremel cutter that looks like a small countersink. Lube it. Leave some edge for the screwdriver slots. Then take a new number drill, slightly smaller than your finished size, lubricate and drill through, spinning the jet fast and advancing the drill slowly. Finish cut the last .001 or .002" the same way, using a new drill on which you stoned off the sharp outer corners... this makes it cut more like a reamer. Lubricate it. Don't want any swirl through this orifice.

As for the needles, the old AJ series from a Mk 30 or Mk 55 work well... but, you need to add about 6 turns of 10-32 thread, as the needle has to have a longer reach, coming in on the diagonal. (In AJ and KA, they come in straight)

      Hope this helps.

Any thought of fixed jets for the KC carb's. They are avalable and usually 2 sizes over size will give all the fuel you need for a mod engine. The adjustable carbs are old school technology. Even with the adjustable ones, once set you most likly do not ever have to set them again for the season. Taching and engine you lean it out and then open it a little and you are just about where you started from. Just my oponion....Bob
