One recently went for $2850 on eBay ... I thought that was about the same as it has been for a while. I know a few have gone for a bit more, but I thought those were exceptional

Yeah, I have come to realize that the 20H stuff is somewhat staggering in cost, Daren. I am in the process of buying a complete unconverted 20H (apart) along with some extra parts so that I can build another powerhead from a Mark 25. Initially, I had a hard time getting my mind wrapped around these prices. However, I finally accepted the fact that if I want to play, I gotta pay. That being said though, I do draw the line at certain price levels for any of it. I can be patient and just wait if I need to. That part (or parts) will come along later in a price range that I can more easily swallow.

I have been following the eBay auctions somewhat closely as well as other listings for a while to get an idea what stuff is going for, Sam. That's been helpful. What bothers me more than prices though is the fact that more engine sellers than not have no idea what is inside the engine that they are selling. I know this because I ask questions about the engine. Without knowing that info, the new owner could possibly have a very disappointing experience when he takes it apart for the first time.*

Oh, I plan to play pretty hard, I guess, Daren. My wallet already feels lighter.
I love sealed engines. The Mark 25 poerhead I mentioned earlier has the seal in place. Of course, it might have issues being a service powerhead that old. I won't know until I take it apart. But at least I won't have to worry whether or not someone in their enthusiasm ever rammed a 30 ton press down on that crank to get it out in a hurry (or) used a chisel to separate the block and crankcase (or) 'fined tuned' it with a file, etc.. I love sealed engines.

20H conversion brackets
I've been out of touch for the holidays, but I do have castings for the 20H conversion rewind/throttle brackets and fuel connector mounting plate. I have not had much time to machine, drill and tap them though. Raw unfinished castings are available immediately for $15/EA. Finished castings available...?????whenever I get time to set up the milling machine and jigs.
