  • J Hot Rod Racing Engine

Champion J Hot Rod, GREAT shape.
This engine won a lot of major titles in its day. We got it from Bill Ellis. It is in great shape. Late Model Hot Rod Tower Housing and Racing A or B lower unit (gearbox). I won a lot of races with this engine back when I was young. This is a classic engine.

    Asking $2500.00 complete.

Call Lyle or Dave Mason at 269-965-8406

      A Real Collector

This is an original Champion Hot Rod powerhead mounted on a late model American Hot Rod tower and gearbox. Even has the original white gas tank mounted on the steering bar.

This tower and gearbox is what the stocks use currently on the A and B stock hot rods. You could have the powerhead to shelf and look at remembering the good old J days, and still race some of it !! Does not get much better than that !!

This engine won High Points many times. Many title to its credit. This engine has character !!

          Dave,

Are you sure the gearfoot is the same as the ones on the other Hot Rod's. I think my dad told me they were different. Not sure, I'll have to ask him. I still have my engine in the basement along with my 60-J. We did have a lot of fun racing the J Hot Rod's back in the day.

            I believe so

It is the late model tower and gearbox. I suppose I could check to make certain.

I don't have a digital camera or I would post a few pics. Would make a great engine to display at Clayton and Constantine, and possible even play on the lake some....

Dave - is that the 9.66" or the 12.5" Hot Rod?
