I have a very good Yamato 80 for sale. I am getting out of 20SSH, so this motor has to go:

(1) Yamato 80: completely rebuilt by TJ in 2004. Engine is bored oversize. Had new rods installed on a blueprinted crank assy, along with new rod and main bearings. Engine was blueprinted and ported to spec. Lower unit was blueprinted by Tom Cronk and has the 9/16" prop shaft. Mag completely rebuilt last summer with new coils (secondary coils), points and condensers. Also has 14MM head. BTM steering bar and delrin saddle for thrust block. This motor is very nice and has a custom painted front carb cover with flames. I have ran this motor since 2004 with no problems and still has 158lbs compression readings. Motor needs NOTHING!!!! $1900

PS: these motors are well maintained by me and the gear oil is changed after every race and mag checked out and adjusted as needed, so they never give me any problems.!!! These are (2) of the fastest Yamato 80's in Reg10 (the driver sucks!!! ). They both also come with custom made canvas powerhead covers for storage and custom made wooden skeg protectors made by Ernie Dawe.

80's

just an update, the motors are still for sale at $1850 each. They were both ran at this past weekend's AOF Nationals at Moses Lake, Wa and won 3 out of 4 heats of racing. The Dudley Malone built motor won (1) heat of the Nationals (bad start by myself 1st heat) and the TJ built 80 won both heats (gun jumped 2nd heat)on Sunday of normal racing ....... by a large margin!
