Probably not worth what he's asking. I think it's missing the gear set.

You could offer $300.
Be sure to get a pic of the top of the gearcase. Should just be the pinion shaft sticking up. Not sure what the aluminum looking piece is. Maybe just a spacer for something other than a Y80.

I suspect that the metal part we see above the gear case is the top ball bearing which couldn't be that far above the case if the pinion were attached to the bottom of the shaft.
