    Any pics of port work?

    Large end rod clearance/size?

Did the 500 Classics come with a mag or 44xs style electronic ign? Or were there some with mag and long thread spark plugs?

    Phone number?

      Answers to questions

Sorry no pictures of ports, making them work was more important than the pictures at the time and closeup camera/lenses I did not have anyway.

As far as all ignitions were concerned the Merc 44X type igntions sat on a different type of end cap that was all modular with no belt drives anymore to anyhwere else on the front case with the later model engines with shaped combustion chambers and offset sparkplugs. Some of those earlier "later" type model Merc 44 blocks came with P4D magnetos, others came with the Thunderbolt CD energized and belt driven CD trigger boxed and distributor type ignitions. All the complete engines I have listed are all standarized for P4D Mercury red capped magnetos.

Note: There are no expansion chambered Merc engines listed because after experimenting, cutting and pasting 16 different attempts at 2 to 4 pipes each time I came to the conclusion that expansion chambers and deflectors don't mix so they went justafyably into the recycling metal pile. All the listed engines have known brand belled exhaust systems.

*Pardon me answering your question combined with some one else's emailed question. It cut down on writing.
