Been on here before, it's been for sale by them forever. Incorrect throttle setup means it likely isn't a real 55H matching numbers engine, it's just built up from a fishing powerhead and a quickie lower unit. Certainly the bottom pan is wrong and that says a lot about what it is. The claim that a 55H makes over 75 hp at 6,000 rpm is really pretty funny.. Just goes to show that they don't know anything about what they have or what it's worth.

While the VanPelt may be rare that's way over priced. They want $7,900 for it and it's probably worth just a bit more than half that. If it was a real matching # original motor and the boat was a championship boat back then, well then maybe they would be closer but that's still a lot for that rig. If it was properly priced it would move . If it's been sitting that long there's a reason..

There was a very nice restored obsolete hydo for sale on Ebay a couple of years ago (it was in Maryland) that was a much nicer boat and it finally sold for something on the order of $4500, and that was with a proper 55H...
