I acquired this boat a few months ago. What kind and size motor do i need? Do any of you out there have a ready to run, just bolt on and go, motor for sale that would be the corerct match up for this boat. I was told it is a rinker boat. 12 ft. Thanks, Tom

tom i think that an old sst45 boat so a omc 45 is what you would want for it -
Rinker Sport C
I am quite sure that is a Rinker Sport C...it looks exactly like one I owned.
You can check out the class at WWW.APBARacing.com and scroll through the menu to Outboard Performance Class then roll down to Sport C.
The correct motor for Sport C would be an older Tohatsu or Nissan 35 cid two-stroke. There were some OMC and Merc motors that fit the cid requirement, but weren't very succesful.
Stock engine, stock gearcase. 675 lb. min, boat and driver.Fun, competitive class
