  • For Sale: 15CI Mod Hot Rod and Sorensen 250cc Mod Runabout

Up for sale is my 250cc Mod Runabout.

This boat and motor combination have helped me win the 250ccMR national high points championships the past 3 years in a row.

The Boat is a Sorensen runabout. It measures exactly 10 feet in length and has a 32 inch wide bottom. I have a canvas cover for the boat that's included in the sale.

The motor is a modified 15 cubic inch power head on a short hot rod tower. The power head has not been run since being freshly rebuilt by Tom Moulder. It has brand new pistons, rings and was freshly bored this past winter. The exhaust system uses twin pipe Hubbel dry stacks.

Although the boat has a short transom and is set up to flat turn, it can easily be converted to a tall tower roll up boat for B stock runabout.

The boat as is pictured is ready to race, you'll just need to add your fuel and pull the rope.

I'm changing classes and need to liquidate my hot rod stuff to do so. I can sell this motor as a short tower or a tall tower engine.

I also have many hot rod parts, towers, motoplat ignition components, props etc. that I will be selling so please PM me if you're looking for something. I will be selling two additonal complete mod engines here shortly as well.

I'd like to get $3000 for the package, ready to race. I can deliver to any of the local midwest races. The cart pictured is not included in the sale.

Please email me at austinduggan@gmail.com or call at 248-891-5416 with any questions.

    Thank you,

I'm not entirely sure yet which direction I'm going to go. I'm looking at many different options from yamato classes to tunnel boats. We'll see.

One a separate note, this rig is still available! I'm willing to separate. PM me if you're interested.

        Thank you,

        Austin
