        Your Right

Tim - Now that you mention it it does look alot bigger than what I remember the Atomic A looking like. You restored one at one time didn't you? So if it isn't an Atomic A, any ideas what this hull may be?

The rounded coamings at transom look different than what I remember on an Atomic A.
            Untethered from reality!

                Swift 'Atomics' & Big 'B's

Speaking of Syracuse 1953; Where's Herb Lanphear "Sr" and Ted Fendick when you need 'em ??

                  Miss Piggy:

Your post is a bit obscure for me, I was 5. Herb showed me how to flatten a set of points, polish them with white paper and get them parallel at Fulton NY sometime in the late 60's. I think he was running a really light Roseberry boat at the time.

John Mc- Herb "Sr" and Ted Fendick Both drove / tested Swifts Atomic & Big Bee's in the same "cove" leading to the Chenango River / Binghamton NY circa 1958... I occasionally was their "pit Stooge" , lent a helping hand... merely a "groupie"... loading a hydro on top of Herb's '51 Ford victoria. Headed toward Syracuse and ALL points wherever. I got plenty of razzing / raspberries as well as a good "dusting", for merely having a home-made Skeeter / Pumpkin-Seed / I built from Mechanics Illustrated plans powered by a stock KE-7 Lightning as acquired by my Pop as as Birthday present from Potter's Marine, Whitney Point New York... as per "Patton".... I shall return, this coming August..!

                      Atomic A

Herb Lanphear Sr is alive and well.He comes to 3 or 4 races a year and is still very active at the races, and enjoys the stock and mod races we attend.I have an swift atomic A in my showroom.John you were right about the Roseberry A, we ran many Marchetti's as well. Ted Fendick is still living within miles of the Chenango river.Dad can still go through a KG4 just like yesterday, and can still tell some stories.
                      Thanks Herb Jr
