OK, so it's not perfect, but it's listed as a DeSilva.

At least the seller is listing it as a "Pattern" hull.

Any ideas who ran that 92M # back in the day???

    It's not a Desilva.

The combing does not extend above the deck. That's the dead give away. They set their boats up for indirect steering and the returns were mounted on the combing. The transom does not have the Desilva round hole extensions either. Desilva's didn't make the inside of their combing open. They had oval shaped holes that allowed access to the cables and to sponge out.

    It's a good knock off.

        DeSilva

        Could it be a Speedliner?

Don't show this to Butch Webb... he'd have it patched up and West Systemed ready to race in under a week!

Saw this eBay item as well. I contacted the seller letting him know I was pretty darn sure it was not a Desilva. He is convinced otherwise, apparently the previous owner told him it was a Desilva. I suggested to him it might be a Speedliner also.

Got a "project" like this for free two years ago. It's almost finished, but again, free. And the gentleman trailered it from Florida to Penn

Not home to look but, Leon's boat was on one of the covers of the Propeller back in about 1976 or 77 his number was 192-M.

And this does look like it from my memeory.

I don't care who made it, I wouldn't walk across the street to own that boat.

I think you might be right Gootz. It does look like Leon's old boat, but I don't see a lot of bolts sticking through the back to hold it together like his boat had. Possibly an old Speedliner or Thompson.

Leon Dragos boat number back in the 60's & 70's was 192M. Maybe the number was sanded off. Back in the late 60's to early 70's 92M was Don Schuster. He ran B class, so maybe the boat is a 11' B not a D.

I think it is a DeSilva. A Boat built for Stock Racing. I had a boat like that. There is just to many give aways that it is a DeSilva. The way the dash is installed, The frames, etc.
