        John,

The aero-liner boats site have the long splined driveshaft for the 55h. I am not sure if there is enuff spline on it to remove to make it the req'd 15.01-15.07 (the merc print calls for a full spline contact area of 1.88-1.94) overall dims you need. I checked with Doug Kay on this a while back but nothing transpired. That was my idea at the time was one shaft full size with extra splines that could be made use for Q, 55h and 44xs lengths. That may be your option. The factory 55h shaft as per the merc print is 17 31/32, so the long splined shaft is suppose to have a full 5" of splines which means you only need to have 2.95875 (15.01) removed leaving you 2.04125 of spline left.

        Daren,

Sea-way had all those parts last year. I have some used plastic holders if you need one, I retap the holes in the tuner and use allen head screws and bend up the water tubes from copper. If you need a pic of the tube with dims let me know. The rubber seal in the plastic holder is the same as the one in the water pump body of a 50 as well as the small plastic retainer.

        rgds,

        Dave

          XS parts

          Dave,

Do you have any of your throttle cable brackets or recoil handle brackets left?

          Thanks

            Bill,

I will check over the weekend and let you know. I know I have recoil handle supports for sure and I am pretty sure I have the angle pieces for the throttle you may have to make up the spacers to bolt it to the exhaust cover.

              44XS Drive shaft

              http://aeroliner-boats.com/10.html

The above link is to our web page where we list the shafts. We should still have a long spline shaft available. Thanks Dave Scott for pointing it out.

                D Drive shafts

We have three different D shafts for sale. The most popular is the standard 55H length. We also make a standard H length that has 5 inches of splines. This means up to 4 inches can be removed from the crankshaft end. This allows use in the 44XS, the Mark 40H and the 50H. The shaft is cutable with a Dremel cut off wheel but not a hack saw. We also make a D Shaft that can be cut down any length by removing a portion of the mid section, squaring off the two cut ends and using a coupler. The price for these is $295 for the standard length and standard length with the long splines. The cut off style shaft is $225.00 Shipping to US addresses is $25. If shipping address is in Florida sales tax of 6.5% will be added to the shaft cost.
I have attached a couple of pictuers of the shafts.
