Yamato “hatchet” type unit with 12:15 gear ratio.
Gear case has been modified for external water lines. Complete unit as shown, Prop shaft looks new, the gears are in excellent condition, and every thing shown is included. See Photo.

I bought one like that, vertical 12:16 together & working for about 500 & traded for a horizontal split 1:1 for about 1000 in value. As new Komato units replace the old I'd imagine the prices to get easier.. or wishful thinking ?

/QUOTE] Tuff question, these units are usually run under pro motors turning wicked R's vs The raw power of the D? don't really know.
You can get several ratios, I've seen 12:16 & 14:15, probably more.
I don't know about legal or not, I run RaT motors with the 2 Ive got that are less than D size & power.

I don't suggest running that gearbox under your D Mod.

I can guarantee that unit will not last under a mod d. Use only the horizontal split Yamato or Komato now called Yomato. You can now buy the Yomato or Konny units direct from the Konny factory at a considerable savings. Ck. WWW. Konny@cz
