Mercury Magneto

Does anyone have tech documents, specs for the mercury 4D mags? Also, what alternatives have individuals come up with to replace them. I'm looking for something to replace the old magneto.

I would suggest contacting Steve Roskowski. He has designed and built a good running mag for the 4 cyl Merc. It is self energizing and is made from readily available parts. Several guys are using them without problems. Steve is modhydro on HydroRacer.
