SORC and APBA recently approved Straight Cut genuine Yamato-built 14:15 gears for YAMATO 102. They are $250/set, and I have over 200 sets in stock.

Jim, What is the advantage of straight cut vrs. angle cut?

Hi Jack;

The biggest reason is in the future, these gears will be the only YAMATO Factory genuine YAMATO gears available. I have 225 sets of them.
I've been told by some gearcase people, the straight cut have less surface area, and might add a few rpm, because of less surface friction. I can't vouch for that opinion, as I'm not a gear engineer.
