I believe you can race this in AMOD as long as you have it on a "quickie" or a "quiet tower".

Daveee, ...hmmmm,...what's cooking now at skunkworks?
I have 2 Mark 28 22ci powerheads, and a couple of KG4H towers ready to be rat rodded.
Stock Outboard Racing!....because other sports,....golf, football, baseball, etc....only require one Ball!

I'll check again with my team mate (50y of racing) but I think he said as long as the powerhead remains stock you can put it on a race lower unit and run it in AMOD. (I think it is now called 250ccm.)

I'll get back to you asap.

I just hate to see these go to a scrap yard or on someones shelf because the old merc's are still a competative motor in this class. I'm doing some work on two of them right now to run this year.
Contact me if you are dead set on not running them.

Does the MK 28 crankshaft fit an AB? Ive heard they come up a little short & only engage about a 1/4" of spline.

The early 22 cube Mark-28's fit fine.....The newer 200/25SS style powerheads have a water plate and require a longer shaft (approx 1/4" like the 25SS).....all my gearfoots have a squared stub and I use a Snap-on deep 9/16" socket driven on and weld'd to a cut to lenghth nee'd shaft for dif length applications need'd.......But the "H"/"Q" shaft fits the early Mark-28's.............
