My DSH is a copy of the D-Railer. I was pretty cool when I finally broke the 1 1/4 mile record after it standing some 17/19 years. Sleevy actually visited Lawrence that day and saw his record go down. I believe Kyle Bahl came in second driving the D-Railer. Lots of Fast D's have stemmed from the Albino Boy's pits with Schwartz and Hannon at the controls.

Pat, is your motor my Pops old Merc Challenge Series motor? I think maybe it is, or at least the steering bars are!

My last reference book shows the D-Railer, a Karelson?,
setting the 1-1/4m record in 1993 @72.4 mph.
What is the new record ?

I thought I saw that the 1 mile DSH record
                          was recently broken in R10
It was held by David Hooten at 70.3mph in a TecCraft, 1994.
They also set, and I think it still stands, the 1-2/3m record @76.6mph.

I would imagine that the Tohatsu, with its strong mid range,
will break all short course records, and the longer ones
if they ever jack it up

It looks like John Steen still owns the kilo at 89.8mph.
-but there are no height limits for the kilo

No worries, Daren. We have not seen the last of him. Right now, his racing priorities are to 1) finish the JH under construction for his daughter for next year; 2) buy safety gear for her; 3) possibly find some equipment for his 10 year old son who is also interested in racing, 4) then look for an outfit for himself.

                              He'll be back.
