        Thank you/This week's excerpt

To all of you who ordered your books last week, THANK YOU! All of last week's orders have been shipped by the printer and you should be receiving them sometime this week. The printer at this time seems to be right on top of things and is doing a great job of turning orders promptly.

As is often done in the publishing community, each week we will post a short excerpt from FIELD OF WAKES, so that you can get a little taste of what's in the book. Our first excerpt comes from 750MR National Champion Josh Pearson, and his comments on winning the 750cc Mod Runabout National Championship:

"When does a 2nd place and a 3rd place equal a 1st place? When everyone in the field is equally matched, that’s when. I feel like anyone of us could have won this year. Guys that ran up front in one heat were caught in the back on the next and vice-versa. I feel very fortunate to have run consistent for two heats and blessed to squeak out the overall win. I guess that’s one thing I’ve learned from running marathons; consistency wins. I also need to thank Brian Lauer for letting me drive his equipment. He and his family have been great friends to my dad and me."

If you haven't ordered your book yet, there's still plenty of time to get it before Christmas....or for a great keepsake from Nationals.
