KOMATO Hatchet Gearcase Pictures

Komato's are here. Here's some pictures of this beautiful gearcase. It took months and months to design, and is the next generation "Hatchet" gearcase.
Note that it has very slim, flowing lines, great water flow to the prop, with a very thin Big Gear Housing with a fantastic "aspect ratio". You can run this unit very, very high on the transom. Enter the "future" generation with KOMATO.

I think these were done with 35mm. Jim promises to learn the digital soon. I will see the unit in the next two days and post better pictures. This gives you an idea anyway.

did Jim post the R/S dimensions somewhere??? prop shaft size?

I've had a lot of enquiries about "R" and "S" dimension of Komato "Big Gear" Hatchet Gearcase. On Komato, "R" is 49mm (1.93"); "S" is 31mm (1.22"). This gearcase is very fast! No "Gear bulge".

Hello Sam;

Komato "R" Dimension is 49mm (1.93"), so, yes, it is legal for Mod. Div..
The Komato has the best "aspect ratio" of any racing gearcase, and fits the "Big Gears" in a slim 49mm case. Read Komato Testimonials. So far, all customers are 100% satisfied.
