Hi: The 44XS was built by Jerry Wienandt and is Just broken in. The gearcase on the engine and the new gearcase were built by Dave Steckbauer and shaped by Mark Schmerbauch. After my wife died I have had two surgeries and I won't be doing an boatracing. I paid $1,500 for the spare gearcase and $4,300 for the 44XS . Both were owned by Jerry Neises. who raced DSH. I have sold Jerry's B&H DSH and my Seajay DSR. I want to sell these items and I will consider offers . The 44XS and new grearcase have been stored in a heated & Air conditioned area. I have never started the engine . Thank Bud Hursh

Last I saw the 44XS, it was a really good motor... all fresh and very choice parts.

It was a fresh +.015" with new pistons and bore by Jim Ruck.
