Vibrations in 2 cycle outboards destroy parts, especially in engines that vibrate a lot, i.e. in single cylinder, and twin cyl. opposed engines. Gears, and gear case skegs, take a lot of the punishment.

haa jim correct me if ime wrong thought most our couplers..ie bass stuff and others 15 mm???

Pinion Shaft upper end on all Gear Cases I know off, i.e. Komato, VRP, Rossi, Konny, Konig, Yamato are 12mm X 12mm. Couplers have female 12mm X 12mm.

You can always have Larry MacAfee make you a custom coupler, 12MM one end, 15MM other end, it is that easy....
