  • flames on boats for new season

I have been custom painting for over thirty years using house of kolor paints and one of my partners came out with a product to make laying out and painting flames a lot easier . I have worked out a deal with ( bag of flames ) do it yourself flame kit for boats and cars . For our racing family we can get this package for $30 plus shipping . check out their website bagofflames.com there is some video instructions on the site and youtube . but for the boat racers price ( pm ) me so I can ship it to you , if there is enough interest I may be able to get them for even less than posted . SO GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU ( DO IT YOURSELFERS !) AND KEEP LIVIN' ON THE JAGGED EDGE !

Very cool product and video. Do you have anything similar for doing checkered patterns. I've done them before by hand and they are a real pain . I'm sure there are tricks that the pros know.

    Thx,
    Sam

Hi Tony, The helmets look cool BUT they are going to be very strict this year about what you can put on them. I believe the top 2/3rds has to be all the same color. (yellow, orange, or bright red). I didn't know you was into this. Looks like we have something in common. The work look great.

hello mark i have always known the helmet rule i have painted many in the past for boat racers the ones i posted are for inboard and outboard there are many things to do and still stay legal if you have seen any of my outboard helmets they usually are brighter than the stock helmet colors . personally i think they should pick one color for the helmets top 2/3 rds. if you see something orange floating in the water you are going to try and not hit it . GOOD LUCK TO ALL THIS SEASON AND KEEP LIVIN' ON THE JAGGED EDGE!
