  • Merc Cub

I worked at KS&W (now owned by US Customs by RICO act) in St Augustine, FL 1985/6 rigging these up for Fred Miller.

Anyone ever drive a Merc Cub? Not bad in a straight line, but eventually you have to turn it.

Bet it runs better with a Tohatsu on it than a Merc.

Fred let me test drive one in Dayton one year. I believe it almost broke 25mph
        on the straight!

I can't believe you guys saw that thing on e bay and missed the DeSilva runabout with the Y80 on it.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most.

                Yup

Fred brought the whole Semi trailer full of them to the Mod Nationals in Soddy Daisy TN one year. He made the mistake of letting us J drivers take them out alone. I think we ran them out of gas. Not to mention the paint for some reason woul dnot stay on the sides...

I recall myself, Kevin Ladd, Ben Sharp, Shawn Brill, Brian Boyd, Eric Vanover, and a few others going out and racing them in the evening... at the far end of the lake of course.. I think we did manage to flip one too.
