Fran, that is one good looking boat. How long is it and when do you think it was built.
I've got one that looks very similar (in design, that is!!!) and am trying to figure out just what to do with it.

ALEX, I dont Know when this was built, I'm guesssing early 90's. I bought the boat from pat philkill around 1996. the length of the boat is 13'. I was thinking of putting a 75 on it and racing in feh. I think it would handle the torque and the weight of a 75. the boat runs great in rough water and is very stable. Thanks for looking Fran

Fran, I got mine from a pond racer who ran it with an 65omc on a konig. So, that's not much to go on. I kind of figured it just might go with a Bass Machines Tohatsu 50. The 'thing' is in fairly decent shape, nice bottom. I just sealed off the cockpit and put in some access covers to ventilate it. It's probably going to get wet when spring gets here. I'll either put a 44 together or run a Tohatsu on it. Either way, I can run it in D-mod or FE. It would sure be nice to see your boat out there on Crystal Lake!

Im Trying to sell this boat so I can buy a 302 to race csh. I got a new boat this year and I need to buy an engine. I've Been told by a number of racers that the boat would work great in 750, 850, 350cch, and 250cch. Looking forward to seeing you at crystal. I plan on bringing Bch, Bcr, Csr, and Csh possibly Dch.

That the boat you have is my old Pugh 350. It made it's way up north a few years ago. It was built in 1992 and I believe may have been the last Pugh kneeler before Gary went to the high cockpit sides. If so, it is a great hanling boat. It had a number of 350 Konigs powering it over the years.

If you do bring a DClassicHydro, please let me know, as I will bring mine.
Other than in Reg1, we now have few in Reg2 & Ontario.

Notice how Gary began sweeping the leading edge of the boat back such that the nose extends out somewhat between the pickles? Also, I believe that he may developed his sponson design a little further.

As a 350 hydro that boat was never wrecked, so do not start anything now!!

Enjoy it!! It was really happy with those Konigs.....

                        Bob

My father still has his ra1 yamato 250. We don't race pro anymore because of the time and money it takes. We had a ball racing pro and still think it the best form of racing, I just cant afford it. My father is keeping all of his eqiupment and planing on racing again. good to hear from you again.

                          Motors?

Has anyone ran 850cch on this style of pugh. Or is any other motors that have worked good on this boat. The transome is straight up and down. and only has about 9 inches of mounting hieght. so I assume you would need a mod style tower. Just wondering how It would work with other motor.
also I layed down in this kneeler I did not move the steering or throttle. it worked good for me. I used a foam ramp that simply pulls out.
