  • Yamato 80 for sale:

heres a nice Y80 for sale. Compression readings #1- 155lbs, #2-158lbs, great spark. Has 18mm head, cut to specs. Gearcase blueprinted by Cronk and has the 9/16 prop shaft. Still is standard bore and runs very good. Has not been raced in a few years, but is ready to go. It also has the integral BTM thrust bracket.

motor belongs to Sean Bryne. He is asking $1450 and also has a BRAND NEW set of coils, points and condensers that could be bought for an additional $250.

I can answer most of the technical questions on this motor (as it used to be mine), but the $$$$ aspect, you will need to talk with Sean about it. He will chime in soon, with his info. Motor is located in Washington state

    thanks!

PS: the blaze red carb shield has got to make it faster!!!! LOL!

Thanks Daren for posting this. Contact info for me by Cell is 509-480-2044 or ias@nwinfo.net
Motor was retimed before storing. You should be able to drop this on your boat, add prop and go racing. Rings should be fairly fresh and not require anything for awhile. Also, it has been stored inside a heated building when not used.

      Daren:

The 80 looks good, but the pair of Merc 800's look even better.

So do you have a complete 75-75, or just the orange cowling?

Joe, the Mercs are 700's and I am just getting ready to do full restorations on both of them. They are going on a restored Power Cat.

the cowl is all that is left of the Stinger.............I would have tossed it, but the Merc it is covering is missing the hood..........

I have an idea, lets convert the motor to a Bmod, then you can skip the PRO Nats and attend the Mod Nats!! Would run good on the Yellow Hemp!

Now there's a good idea. Do I need to get some pipes to make it go real fast?
