Check out the plague for the Presidents Cup Regatta in DC I would love to find out who the driver was at that time talk about history believe it or not I was at a few of those races, yes I am that old but I dont recall this class of hull being run. I remember the year the OPC's ran because I was there with the Speed Masters out of DC. Herb Gaskins Bobby Alford Kenny Curtis and the the gang Bobby drove a kneel down SJ hull yes kneel down with a Merc 150

Some of Tim Butts' closest associates have communicated with Tim and confirmed this boat was built as a drag racer in the 1970's.

I'm thinking the plaques are bogus.

Sam is correct - late '70's / early '80's. How many pickle forks were around in 1967?

BTW Dan, the first Unlimited race I ever attended was the Presidents Cup Regatta. I was young and don't remember a lot (not even the winner) but I do remember the Pride of Pay N Pack having two V8s and the different sound of it compared to all the Allisons.
        ...

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

Yeah that must be the case because I was at the first Presidents Cup Regatta that had OPC hulls running as a side show to the Unlimiteds and this boat could have never run with the Sport J hulls. Some of you might also remember the Stock Outboard race that was held in DC at the Tidal Basin I forget the year but I was also at that race I added a photo of the partial course

We had a few guys in the midwest racing kneel down McCall's with 135 OMC and Merc's on them.

Beautiful rig, does the wood good!!

The rig Bobby ran was a McCall 15' -16' kneel down

The E&T tunnel I have is a kneeler, too. It was originally red with a metallic bronze/gold lightning bolt on each side. Dan do you ever recall seeing it at a race? It was probably one of the first E&T tunnels
