I would like to give a big thanks to Jeff Brewster. A few days ago I found a 25xs motor for a VERY reasonable price ($1,400 +shipping, w/prop, steering bars, extra flywheel) and had showed my dad. He was considering buying the motor but was unsure if he wanted to spend the money to have the motor sit around for a season or two before we even got a boat (but we also realized it was a win/win for us weather we kept it or not). But when I saw the post for this boat for free to whoever runs it in 25ssh, I IMMEDIATELY showed my dad and posted in this thread. It was like Perfect timing. Depending how things go with the motor and boat we may even have it going this season, if not, next year for sure.

Again, Thanks Jeff, and if we have any problems/questions you can be sure you'll here from us.

This is great news Silas! When I was talking to your Dad on the phone this spring he really sounded interested in the sport.
The Brewster family is a great group. I am sure they will be a wealth of knowledge for you guys.

      ENJOY!

Hi all - I just picked up this thread and need to jump in. I raced this boat a couple of years. It is a very fast "C" boat but I would not want to go any faster than 70 MPH. The boat has a lot of lift and tends to lift the fin when turning at a high rate of speed.

The boat is very stable in rough water but because of the cockpit offset does not like to turn right (like we want to turn right). I never tried a 25 motor on the boat but the transom is set up for 102 and 302.

Good luck whoever gets the boat.

          Csh

          Jeff,

Yes we did. I ran CSH and OSY400 for 13 years. The last and the best boat I had was the Roper.

Chris, your boat is gettin' closer!

We just made it to Whitney Pt! yeah!!!!
Drinkin' my Landshark Lager and chillin' while the kids and mrs. go swimming.

Charlie, your old boat is headed to Maine! And I am sure it will get some use.

Brian, good to hear from you again. I remember we bumped each other on the start at Ocoee in 91 and I had a hole in my chine from the meeting. Great fun back then. (i cannot remember tying my shoes this morning, but I can remember everything about past boat races!) LOL

Russ, thanks for the kind words. You and your family are super too!

Silas, can't wait to meet ya some day soon. You are obviously one heck of a guy to take care of your dad. I respect that!

Below is a pic of the purple barney boat (that's what my kids call it) on the trailer at a gas station on the way here. You should have seen Christine and I trying to load it last night! Not pretty! She had plenty of motivation,,,,just to get another boat out of the garage and maybe a spot for her Trailblazer this winter.

I don't know how much I actually take care of him. He bought my Y102, and rebuilt it, with a little help from me. He replaced the motor in my car, with a little help from me. Hes given me a summer job through school. and hopefully trough college! But I do what I can

As for getting him this stuff. I have been keeping track of it and keepin him updated. Kinda pushin him to get it.

I took a year off of school before I started college (this september) to get a car and well do nothing (Find myself, lol). I ended up with a CSH

                  Your boat is loaded

                  Silas and Chris,
We loaded it on top of Shawn Cavanaugh's enclosed trailer yesterday. Looks like he lives the closest to you. Being a super fast 25ssh driver, he will be a big help also. He told me he has a fuel tank for you and some props to try. You guys are set up! Head to the store Chris and buy a pair of water shoes!

So who's next? Who wants to race 25ssh???

Picked up the hydro from Shawn tonight (who seems to be doing good after his CMH accident, but obviously quite sore), Thanks Again. With any luck the 25xs will show up next week, and may, just maybe, My dad will be able to run it this season who knows. We will most likely be sending the foot to Ken Hall to give it the once over.

Will try and keep you updated, maybe even see ya at a race
