  • D stock engine cover.

Not for sale, but just a little FYI for other and potential D drivers.
The way I drive, it's good to have a spare engine cover. I bought this one right. Sure, it needs a little cleaning up, but it's nothing a little sandpaper and Krylon can't fix.

FYI........that cowl is for an electric start motor and will not work (without some modificatins) on a motor with a manual rewind. I am still searching for a manual top cowl and have a spare electric one for trading.......

    uh Jeff.................Krylon?????????

Good point Daren, The manual cover IS different than the electric start cover. You gotta install an extention on the bottom of the electric cover to use manual start.
Or you can have a backup plan...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...236725105&rd=1

I used an extention on my other replacement cover.

We all know that engine cover we are looking for is readily available at the local Nissan/Tohatsu dealer. I admitted why I didn't go down there to buy one. Now you need to come out of the closet and admit that YOU'RE CHEAP!

The point of this thread is to point out to other potential D drivers that new AND used parts ARE available for these engines.

BTW, My Arai helmet was an eBay special too. It used to be white. Nothin' a can a Krylon couldn't fix!

I'm with you Jeff. My helmet was an eBay special too. Add some paint and all is good.

Hey Jeff....I think that is the world famous "devils elbow" that you are pictured in the above picture.....I heard if you paint those Tohatsu cowlings black and then put orange and yellow decals on them they tend to run much faster....LOL....HAHAHAHAHAA!!!! See you at Top O....Nick.
