    Beautifully Restored 30H For Sale

Unfortunately, I need to part with this beautifully restored motor. Daren Goehring rebuilt the powerhead. Ron Thomas rebuilt the gearcase and brought it back to original specs. John Schubert did an amazing job pulling it all together to complete the restoration. With that team doing the restoration, you can be assured that it is a gem.

I am offering it to racers before it gets placed on eBay.

Feel free to PM or email me any questions regarding the motor.

    I'll give ya $1,000!!!

In all seriousness this motor looks beautiful! Hopefully someone here grabs it, but then again its not a legal race engine (besides antique classes) so a racer may not pick it up anyway. But BOY would I love this, gut the perfect boat for it...

    Good Luck sellin it.

I'll trade you a Yamato 80 for it? I'm sure you can use another one.

atleast it would still be involved in racing and not sitting on a display rack...........although it would look good on display.

but seriously, I can GUARANTEE that no where near $1000 will get this motor from Mike............atleast double will get closer.......it was a complete ground up restoration....

I hear the proceeds are going to a NEW J rig............

It might be hard to start too, w/o the pull cord handle

Why did 'they' ban the 30H in CSH and leave the 55H legal in DSH?

I always wondered the same thing... is the 30h faster then the yamatos??? to complicated for inspection?? or was it no one was using them so why have it? but in that case how many people use a 55h? But, the 55h mid section and lower unit can be used with a thunderbolt powerhead, so if they banned the 55h would that intail banning the use of its parts as well so they just left it in there. Then you have the 402xs as well taht used the 55h midsectiona nd lower unit and is still a 'legal' d stock engine.

The 30 H was faster on a big course.
