I noticed this on E-bay, might be a good helmet for a size small person.

I would not put my kid in a DOT Helmet, even if it is a Shoei.
DOT approved is basically a "self-approved" process where the manufacturer signs a paper saying the helmet meets DOT specs. No testing is done.
While Shoei's helmets are top of the line, I just wouldn't race without a Snell rating in my helmet. Or in any kid's helmet.
Finally, Red is not an APBA-approved helmet color. You'd have to paint it.

I was wondering why the helmet is so inexpensive for a Shoei.
I always thought Shoei only sold 'top of the line" also
but obviously they also sell crapola.
Now we know why the price is so cheap! My kid wouldn't wear it either.
