Found a 25 hp Tohatsu short shaft motor with controls. Will it be any good on a 10 foot hydroplane?

How much does the motor weigh? A picture or description of the boat would also help...especially the width of the bottom.

Those standard motors are usually top heavy. Also, what is the dimension from the clamps to the prop shaft and cavitation plate. This will determine the height of the motor board.

I just looked up the specs online. Sucker weighs 157 lbs. Think I will pass on it.
