    Gentlemen JohnsOldMercurySite.com is sponsoring another newbie in hydros & we intend to start this young man in 300SSH
    we have a brand new sorenson c class and a Y 102 and are looking for ANY and all info on the Y102 we can find.
    are there any threads anyone can recall that were devoted to the 102 we could browse?
    we are merc guys so any tech threads with tips for the yamatos would be appreciated

    Sorry but a 102 is not legal in 300SSH

      thanks what classes are open to a 102? the kid is 18 if that makes any diff

        With a 102 he can run 20SSH or CSH. if you wanted to get him into 300SSH instead (I think is the best option) there are sealed motors available. Contact TJ if you want a motor!

            with a stock 102 will he be at all competitive in these classes? 20SSH or CSH

            if not what changes are required to get up to speed

              A stock 102 will not be competitve in either 20SSH or CSH, but may not be that important for his first season, where he should be more concerned with rules,starting and driving.The stock 102 will allow him to run just ok, it will need to be blue printed and props that work.Good Luck!
