  • Advice for a newbie in Idaho

Okay guys, my first post on here and I'm looking for some help. I have been tossing around the idea of getting into the outboard racing world. I am a boatbuilder by trade, but nothing like these things. I build aluminum river, ocean, and lake boats and have raced both whitewater river marathons and jetsprints but have been out of racing for a few years and would like to get back into something.

I have been looking at this site and a few others for a few weeks and getting myself a little more informed but need some help understanding the direction I should start in. I am somewhat familiar with the Stateline association in the area but there site is pretty vague regarding the classes and rules they race under. I'm looking for some advice on what associations and opportunities are available in the Lewiston Idaho area. I know there used to be a few people from here racing, but I don't know who they are.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice or help to get me pointed towards my first outboard boat and racing opportunities.

        Nationals

        Hello Boatfool,

Be sure to go to the Moses Lake, WA. Stock and Mod Outboard Nationals this summer,
Aug. 4 thru 9. You will learn a whole bunch about the classes available.

Good Luck and welcome to the Boat Racing Family.
