I am going to find what classes run in my area.
there are a couple used 45 rigs for sale in Cali for around $5000-6000................if you want to race OPC, which is big in Reg12 and 11!! I guarantee is you have the $$$$$, you can be racing at the next race. If you are set of SST45, give Ross Wallach a call or either of the West Bros (RJ or Warren)..............................good luck and have fun!!

Would you like to try out a boat on the water? If so, you can head down and test with me and KT. Our Merc needs busting in.....

We are targeting mid January, probably El Capitan reservoir. About an hour from you. If we could get on to Hodges we would, but that won't open until March 1st, as the Greebes ( form of under water swimming fowl) need to have sex.

You will need to bring a helmet, unless i get one of the motor cycle full faces
we have painted neon orange by then. We have a jacket.

                      CK:

A moto cross helmet will work in practice. As far as a vest, we will have to size one up. I've used ski vests before, and as long as you don't have any boats "racing you, they will keep you boyant, but they are not as safe as the real deal, so, we'll just look around.

We are considering the Havasu race, and should be ready...Me thinketh......

I attempted to test at El Cap a couple of times, but it just gets to rough and windy in there and the Marine Patrol can be "testy"..............same goes with San V.

What restrictions are there? Do they need to see fuel reciepts to get on?

We have already coverted the OMC A motor to a 4 stroke, so that is not a problem, but some fo them want to make sure there are no MTBE's in the fuel.

San V is shut down for the next 3-4 years while they add 50 more feet to the top of the dam....

I was wondering about Otay Lakes down off Brown Field by the parachute rentals before....It looked really calm every time I've been by, and also, Lake Henshaw has a very nice launch ramp.
