The DVD is available from: McGinnis Video, PO Box 486, Indian River MI 49749 231-238-4030 it is $29.50 with shipping. It has a lot of good footage of the race, the best part is the helmet cam shots from a CSR.

There were 26 CSRs & 12 DSRs in the race. On other threads drivers are complaining about lack of "seat time" - come to Top 'O you will get over an hour of racing each day (do it in less than an hour and you will most likley trophy or win) Racing starts at Noon, last boat is off the water by 2 pm. The racing covers about 43 miles each day over 3 lakes and 3 rivers.

Must have been fairly calm this year, usually we aren't that close together by the time we hit the river. I am so bummed out that I couldn't make it this time!

Great video, just wondering what do most guys prefer these days roll up or flat turning runabout and since I have never driven a runabout how easy it to turn a flat turning hull ? Do you still have to lean out onto the deck going into the turn ?

                        fin

Well dan, Iv alawayz been in a roll up runabout myself. But last season i did borrow a friends boat wich happend to be a flat turn boat. I found it to be Just like turning a hydro, if not eayser. In my mind it takes the fun out of the runabout.

The World's second toughest outboard race?

I saw a 2 min clip of the race on Youtube, cool stuff. It looks like it gets a little choppy. The Top O' should be billed as the second toughest though, the toughest has to be the Yukon 800. Honest mistake, many have not heard of it.
