Can you disable the sound? Sounds more like an unlimited than an outboard.

On most new fangled computers you can disable the sound yourself, look for something like a button that says volume with a little down arrow beside it, ot maybe one that says mute

Being a (rookie?) techie I'm thinking about saving storage space on the memory card. My shop PC is my first system build and it has "yet" to crash, now if I can just find were I put that darn mute button...
