Dan...the only diffference between the 24 hour race in France and the Top O is that the drivers in France were sitting down and able to stay dry (sorta) while they were racing. Have you ever seen Burt Lake or Mullett Lake in a 30 knot breeze?

That's about as close to a boat race as a demolition derby is to a car race.

Nothing but a spectacle...a joke.

Like putting a bunch of thoroughbred horses on a hockey rink and telling them..."go race."

Its called an Endurance Marathon, great challenge and great fun. No one makes anyone enter.

Check out the web sites of the drivers who entered this years race and they all seem to have had a ball I don't see any long faces.

This is boat racing's version of an Ironman Triathlon on water and the drivers love it! as John pointed out this is a 24 hour endurance race think of Baja and just add water These guys and gals are true hard core gladiators! not a joke or even close to it.
