Sorry wrong answer the nationals is a week long event with hundreds of drivers family members crew and friends not all of them race. I am just trying to get folks to utilize the tools right at there finger tips to help promote the sport dont forget the clips posted on HRTV can be copied onto any other web site just like YouTube.

Well........ I now have a camera (Canon FS10). Now if I can just learn how to use it and get to a race we'll have some more videos posted.

Dan, a problem I run into is that shooting a heat with my my particular camera leads to a file in excess of the 100 mb limit for HRTV, thus it needs editing. It then becomes a time issue, since I also have still shots to weed through; which is easier - dump the blurry and the duplicates, and it doesn't require special software to do. With video, I have to decide which part of the 3 laps to dump, and that's more time consuming. Sorry.

Doesn't your video function have a lower res setting / Possibly 320 lines? I'd keep 30fps though, to keep the video "chatter" free.

Video editing is incredably time consuming. I just extracted about 8 "good" minitues, from my grand-daughter's high school lacrosse digital video, for a college admission, and it took about 4 hours.

Sorry Dan I Had My Cam, But With The Long Week Of Racing And Working I Was Not Able To Use It, To Many Boats And Classes To Do This To. I Did Have A Cam On When I Wreck In Bsr. I Sure Would Like To See That. My Wife Is The Cam Runner ,but She Said She Cant Tell What She Is Fliming And It Gives Her A Head Ache . Lol

As Phil mention in his post above video editing is incredibly time consuming and I understand that. I am only trying to push folks in the direction of trying to utilize the tools available to them. Regarding the 100MB content limit that will change in the new version of Brightcove due our very soon.

** You can probably push the 100MB limit a bit further and have the system accept it.

Try a different email address I just tried and it took less then a minute to sign up using my MSN address. Most folks have two or three different email accounts so just try a different one all though I have no idea why what ever you are typing in does not take.

Work

All drivers had to sign up for two flights of work. Add in the fact that elimination heats were typically not on the same day as the finals, and then add two or more classes and you have a dang busy week. Then if you wanted to try and go out and enjoy some time away from the race course for a gam of golf or something...... most of us used vacation time and some decided to vacation a little as well.

Personally I would not tape much. I enjoy watching races to much to be behind the camerea. I end up getting nice tree line shots.
