I wanted to get one of these, easy to put on the helmet for skiing or boat racing. At 30 fps and only 640X480, I'm worried it'll look like crap.

I would go with the VholdR from Twenty20, a little pricey but well worth the money.

30fps and 640x480 is TV quality, not HD, but an excellent buy for the money and it won't look like "crap".

Phil is correct the average Joe has no need or the budget for an HD cam 640x480 will be just fine, hey Phil you gonna shoot some footage for us this weekend

Thanks Mike remember to keep your hand steady or even better use a tripod if you can I should be hitting a few races around mid summer and of course the Worlds in the Fall which I plan to shoot in HD

My first race is in two weeks from this weekend, at Standish Maine. I will be getting it on tape for sure as long as I get some safety equipment and I am able to race.... I still don't know if I will have the stuff from SRP so I need to line of stuff to borrow. Even if I don't get any I will still be there, I was also told to ask the race director to announce at the drivers meeting that I needed equipment so thats a possibility as well. either was I guess I will have some stuff for you.
